A compact L-band bandpass filter based on SIR coaxial resonators with high multipactor threshold

Abstract This paper presents the design of a sixth-order cross-coupled L-band filter, specifically intended for space applications. The solution was based on principle stepped impedance coaxial resonators (SIRs), which allowed us to fulfill several electrical and size specifications more particularly high multipactor threshold. degrees freedom afforded by proposed topology offer wide choice configuration possibilities. Whatever central frequency required specifications, compromises can be made in terms volume, height, footprint, quality factor, threshold, harmonic rejection, etc. For instance, SIR is very well suited small filters when moderate factors thresholds around 4000 400 W, respectively, are requested. procedure presented simulations measurements compared discussed.
